Like most people, my phone has become an indispensable part of my[self]. A digital organ I can see, touch and command at will connecting at once to all knowledge and all people. As an extension of who I am, it holds and affirms my thoughts, believes and self-expression.

Is this uncomfortable? Absolutely. But the T.ruth wins over my discomfort, so I lean into it to try to shape the phone in my image because the reverse, allowing the phone to shape me, would be unthinkable.

This starts with how it looks, with my choice of a phone case and other accessories. The external is always the easiest to manipulate. So, at the very least, my phone will always reflect my personal style - how I see myself and how I want to be seen.
